Mindful movement classes

This gentle class combines yoga movement with meditation and compassion practices to bring you awareness, relaxation and a wonderful sense of calm and wellbeing.
Sometimes we can get so caught up in our mind that we almost forget that we are a body. These gentle classes are aimed at reconnecting you with your body, and help redirect your attention away from the constant chatter of the mind.
More than just a way of relaxing, these classes will increase your resilience in the face of stress and boost your capacity for emotional regulation.
Very helpful for people struggling with anxiety or low mood (or of course for people who are perfectly happy), these classes incorporate elements of yoga, meditation and Kum Nye (a Tibetan form of movement).
The focus of the classes is not on fitness or exercise, but on promoting mental and physical wellbeing through grounding and breathing in tune with your body. However, having said that, the classes will gently stretch, strengthen and re-align your body, but you will be able to work at your own level of comfort and ability, giving yourself the challenge you are comfortable with.
Connecting with your breath and your bodily sensations allows you to access a deep and nurturing feeling of comfort, confidence, relaxation and calm!
